Six Injured in Head On Crash Near Duchesne Utah
A Sunday 5 p.m. head on collision on Utah Highway 35 near Herman Freeman’s home injured six youths from Duchesne and a Salt Lake City girl plus a 59 year old Duchesne man. The injured include Stanley Young 16 James Mountain 59 Billy Bailey 15 1/2 Roger Cowan 17 1/2 Brent Bailey 17 Colleen Fitzgerald 16. All were treated at Roosevelt LDS Hospital with Bailey later moving to Cottonwood for surgery and possibly release later in the week. Mountain was airlifted or transported to Veterans Hospital for further care.

It serves Duchesne and Uintah Counties and acts as a headquarters for Farm Bureau Insurance. Local manager is Guy L. Taylor with Cheryl Young as secretary. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
