Boy Scouts Honor Bataan Death March At Philippine Event
Troop 369 from Clark Air Force Base Philippines under AIC Angus Wayne Brown will send 18 boys and three leaders to the 4th Boy Scout Teinachment of the Bataan Death March. John Foster, senior patrol leader and Roosevelt alumnus, joins his second march across 65 miles in six days with ceremonies at historic sites.

4-H Home Management program aids older teens
Mary Ann Dean promotes the 1966 4-H Home Management program designed for high school age students. The program, sponsored by Tupperware Home Parties of Orlando with eight $500 scholarships and an expense paid trip to the National 4H Club Congress, helps youths plan and manage resources. Flick of a Switch Could Win Chicago 4-H Trip
The 4 H Electric awards program enters its 31st year guiding youths 9 to 19 in electrical energy electronics and equipment maintenance. Projects adapt to tech advances with support from Extension Service volunteers and electric power suppliers. Top state winner will join delegates to the National 4 H Club Congress in Chicago as a guest of Westinghouse. from 50 winners six receive national honors and 500 scholarships.

Smoking blamed for most 1965 lung cancer deaths
The American Cancer Society estimates 47 000 men and women died of lung cancer in 1965 and about 75 percent of deaths could have been prevented if patients had not smoked cigarettes.
