Farm official W H Allen dies by self inflicted gunshot
W H Allen a 72 year old farmer of near Gusher shot himself to death early Sunday. A note left by Allen said his business affairs were in order and death was his only relief from suffering. He had worked as a telegraph operator in the Uintah basin and later for Uintah Railway.

Japanese Ball Given by P T A Celebrated Event
A Japanese ball was hosted by the parent teacher association on a Friday evening. Mrs. Attisan Brown led planning with many volunteers in Oriental attire. Prizes went to Miss Max Robbins and Orlant Augusen. The hall featured Japanese decor, lanterns, and a tea garden stage. Nearly one hundred dollars in receipts noted. many locals attended and news of other town happenings followed.
