Funeral service held for Redcap at Whiterocks
Funeral service was held at White Rocks on Wednesday May 16 for Redcap a well known Ute American. Interment followed in the Indian cemetery north of Whiterocks. Redcap about 70 years old was son of a famed warrior of the same name and known in the Utah basin and western Colorado for taking part in the Meeker massacre and leading 200 Utes who fled the reservation in 1965 just before the opening.
