Alfalfa Seed Pool Shipment Announced by Uintah Basin Manager
N L Peterson, manager of Uintah basin alfalfa seed pool, announces bulk seed shipment is complete. Two carloads of alfalfa seed and one carload of clover seed have been shipped to Price for later eastward removal. Additional cars came from Roosevelt section and Myton. Several carloads are stored at the Farmers Cleaning plant in Myton ready for shipment.

Native American Shooting On White River Leaves One Dead
An Indian man Towootah killed along a road near the White River four miles from Ouray. Pawwinnee, another Ute, says he acted in self defense after Towootah aimed a firearm at him. An inquest opens today at Ouray as Pawwinnee is held in Utah County Jail at Verna.

Duchesne Man Bound Over On Manslaughter Charge
A L Davis of Duchesne was bound over to the district court on March 2 at Price on involuntary manslaughter charges for Vincent Janschitz who died from injuries after a Price Castle Gate highway accident involving Davis driving a truck that struck wagons. Janschitz suffered fractures and lung injuries and died in a Price hospital.

Board of Education Holds Regular Meeting Actions
The board met in regular session on Saturday March 5 at Duchesne with all members present except Lewis E Allrad. They discussed teacher employment and salaries and decided to invest 9000 in sinking fund bonds. A room addition for Mt Emmons will be funded by the district. Duchesne and Roosevelt janitors owed 75 dollars monthly. Two bids for West Fruitland school buildings were too low. the matter was left to Mr Lackhant and Superintendent Paxton. Next meeting set for Duchesne April 9.

Additional 11000 Sought for Brush Creek Road Project
