Beaver Trapping Case Heard by Ferpeg al Court

Clyde Pike and R Reel, both Uintah Indians, were arrested Nov 20 near the west fork of the Duchesne river for beaver trapping. A Herbor City justice fined them 200 and 60 days in Wasatch county jail. Their appeal reached the federal Salt Lake court today with Roosevelt lawyer ay E Dillman representing them. The old treaty granting hunting and trapping rights on the Uintah reservation may again shield them.
