Fred J. Davis died in Salt Lake City after a illness and hospitalization. Born January 11 1889 he lived in Vernal and Duchesne area, married Mary Shelton in 1901 and left a widow nine children and several siblings. Funeral services were held at Ward Hall with a large turnout.

Duchesne County Feeder Day Highlights Stockman Activities
The first Annual Feeders Day for Duchesne County was held at Roodevelt with stockmen from the Basin gathering at the Horace Allred farm. Demonstrations covered feeding, silage, high quality sires, and wintering cattle. A 4-H calf was shown, and speakers MacFarlane Bennion and Maynard spoke on fattening, cooperative marketing, and feeding practices. The event ended with a banquet at Rambler Cafe and brand inspection discussions.
