Alabama Nurses to Convene October 30 Through November 1

The Alabama Nurse Association will hold its annual meeting October 30 to November 1 with delegates from across the state. Sessions take place at Foster Street Methodist Church and the Houston Hotel. Prominent speakers include Miss Shirlay Titun, dean of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, and Miss Janet Gelster, director of the American Nurses Association. Miss Mattie Huston of Mobile will preside, with Miss Opal Chapman as chairman. Several social events accompany the business sessions. Delegates traveling to Dothan plan to visit Orlando, Florida, for the Southern Division meetings of the American Nurses Association November 4-8.

The Tuskegee Negro Conference at Tuskegee Institute Alabama on December 2 will focus on meeting the crisis in the present farming situation.
