Seven Taken to Kilby Prison for Sentences

Seven men were taken to Kilby Prison the morning to begin sentences ranging from one to 30 years. L Holland and Richard E Harrison must serve 75 and 22 years and six months for robbing the Bank of Cottonwood. John Richardson to serve four to five years for possession of still. Neal Campbell Early Gains Halford and a youth Monk to serve one to two years each for burglary. The four held for months faced plea of guilty and were sentenced.

Scarlet fever cases rise in Houston County

Farm Board Lends 500000 on Wheat

The Federal Farm Board approved a 500000 loan to the North Dakota Montana Wheat Growers Association of Grand Forks ND. The loan is supplementary to a prior loan from the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of St Paul MN. The advance is 10 cents a bushel on wheat held, with combined loans not to exceed 1 per bushel. The board notes this association is the first to qualify for the supplemental loans to cooperative grain growers.

Funeral services for T O Hutto who died Sunday morning at his Birmingham home were held in Ozark at ten o'clock this morning, with burial in the local cemetery.
