A Hag Ave Company reached a settlement with nine friends or contractors to repair streets. The project scope covers four remaining gates, with payments to proceed soon. Contractors expect possible commencement within one to three weeks after finalizing the agreement. The work involves remedial patches to complete the surface.
J Justice died Monday night after a thirty day illness. She lived about eight miles below town near Mt. Enon and was buried Tuesday. She was mother of Mire C. Fuller of this city.
Remains of Joe King killed near Birmingham several months ago were brought through Dothan today on the Coast Line railroad for burial at Phenezer church ten miles below Ashford. The body was found with his mule nearby. authorities and relatives suspect foul play and two suspects are in custody. King was brother of Mrs W R Deal of Dothan, who travels to attend the funeral.
