Negro woman to face charge in Beall store theft case

Gertrude Lima, a Black woman, is to join county jail today charged with receiving and concealing property stolen from Beall's store in Dothan. Four dresses were stolen from the display window after the window was broken with a brick. A restaurant nearby opened at 4 a.m. and police remember the heist likely occurred near midnight.

Many Depositors Get Second Bank Dividend at Dothan Bank

Several Cents Depositors in the Dothan National Bank which closed last year received the second dividend payments today. The 10 percent daily dividend follows a 30 percent payout nearly a year ago. About $100,000 will be distributed among roughly 2000 depositors as receiver Albert L. Lohm reports the checks were issued this morning amid large crowds.

Football practice slated to be held by gridders today

Football equipment for five twenty two players was to be checked out today by candidates for the 1921 Dothan high football team for the first practice of the season. The session was held at the Baker lot near the Howell school building this afternoon. New outfits for twenty two players have been purchased for ten contests with eight games to be played in Dethac. Eleven lettermen were to report for practice this afternoon per Coach Paul Tudb.

Peanut cooperation to market millions of pounds of peanuts
