Suits Against Bank Total 20.86 Million Set for Hearing
Alabama report states $20,860,000 in suits against Rameau and McCormack Inc by Bank of Ensley depositors to be heard November 9 in Jefferson circuit court. Each of 205 walls seeks $100,000 for alleged false representation after the bank was sold in 1921. Bank of Ensley closed January 1930. Sam H. King indicted on 23 counts and to stand trial again. Earl Pricka and Varmon Smith indicted for embezzlement. trial date not yet set.
