Funeral Held For Norman Linton Cousin Acquitted In Shooting
The funeral for Norman Linton was held Sunday conducted by Rev. LR Davis with Fellows & Forres in charge. Vans Fitts, Linton’s cousin, was reported to have been released from blame in the fatal shooting after an argument over a ride home early Friday night. The incident, described as self defense by Pitts, occurred when Linton allegedly confronted him before the shooting.

Manell Riley, 20, of Headland, is in Dothan hospital after a self administered poisoning. He reportedly took bichromide of mercury at home last night before supper, while out of work, according to Headland officers led by N. E. Nunnery. Riley was formerly employed in Dothan and is married with three children.

Two Negroes Charged With Theft of $27
