The two greatest fashion shows ever staged in the country were produced last week in New York at the Palace Theatre and the week before at the Carnegie Auditorium.
A refined afternoon at the Mahony Club featured graceful entertainment by Misses Baker, Gaines, and Bell among others. Guests Mrs Frazier Miss Logan and Mrs Denhaw joined the program including Cadman compositions and instrumental solos, followed by tea. Delicacies were served as the afternoon progressed in a warmly lit reception room.
The women's groups at the Poster Street Methodist Church list chairmen and meeting days for Circles 3 through 5 and the Malone Circle. Volunteers will run a stand on three Sundays with specified chairmen for each session, including Mrs Crawford, Mrs Williams, and Mrs Parker, while other circles meet midweek with designated leaders.
Sewing Club hosted a gathering with decorations of ruses and ferns in the hall. Guests included Mrs. AH. McNeill, Dr. Miss Auuie Howell Jordan, Miss Mhindhe Conch, Miss eNe Green, Mise Clara Brown, and Miss Enoree Crymes. The St. Clair meeting was held Thursday noon with Mrs. Erie Gel as hostess. The Modern French program featured piano duet and vocal solos by listed members and guests, including Els Mae Roland and Miss Sue Staple, with remarks by Mrs. BN. Pass nore.
