Alexander McClay Williams an 18 year old inmate at Glen Mills School confessed to killing Mrs Vida Robare a matron at the institution with an ice pick after planning to steal keys and a bottle of polish. He was held at a secret location on Major E B Hickman and District Attorney William J McCarter orders to prevent a possible disturbance.
Probate Court of Houston County Alabama on September 23 1930 hears guardian J N Singletary petition to sell lands owned by J J Singletary a person of unsound mind to provide for ward and his family.
