A Associated Press poll of 89 Senate members shows 42 favoring the Fulbright peace resolution in present form while 11 oppose and 36 decline to commit. Ten undecided who previously support cooperation could push the tally above a majority if they back the measure. Senators Connally Vandenberg and White among those not committing.

Deputies arrested Mal Mathis on a grand larceny charge after a Saturday night break in at M. L. Vance's home on Headland Highway. $1250 in cash, car keys, a pistol, and a plate were stolen. Mathis was taken into custody yesterday and jailed amid sheriff B G Farmer's report of the investigation.
