Chicago Bad Man Threatens Cab Driver Then Falls Asleep

November 28 a Chicago man with a pistol threatened cab driver Jacob Eisner telling him to hurry or he would shoot. Eisner alerted a police officer and Roy Hill was arrested. At the jail Hill immediately fell asleep, ending the incident.

Six killed and many hurt in Thanksgiving hunting accidents

A Thanksgiving weekend hunting wave in the south left six dead and numerous injured. Victims include Nadia Gletree, 81, near Griffin Georgia, a World War II veteran, killed when a teammate's gun exploded. 17 year old Wilbur Folsom of Augusta killed. James Bush, 60, near Augusta fatally wounded while cleaning a gun. Marvin Hooks, 14, near Tennille, died in a separate incident. Virgil Bell, 8, at Vandervoort Arkansas, injured himself and two brothers by dropping their father's gun. Earl Fort, 17, Plant City Florida, suffered a leg wound prompting amputation. others, including Frederick Vanderbeek, 41, of New Orleans, and W F Haynes, 18, of Atlanta, received injuries from accidental discharges.

Mauretania Continues Trip After Collision

The Cunard liner Mauretania left New York for Europe after a 24 hour delay caused by a bow damage from a collision with a Pennsylvania railroad car float in New York harbor. The damage was slight and the car float carrying 21 freight cars was split in two with no injuries.

Shot During Argument Leaves Man Wounded in Alabama Georgia

B L Blanchard 65 of Pittsview Alabama was hospitalized with shotgun wounds to the arms and hands after an argument with Thomas McGough of Montgomery Alabama. The shooting occurred yesterday in Glennville Alabama and Blanchard was brought to a Georgia hospital for treatment.

Blaze destroys Nantasket Beach resort boats and hotels

Fire from a ticket booth at Nantasket Beach, Mass, swept the resort as embers carried by a 40 mile wind destroyed five excursion steamers and nearby structures. Damage reached about 2 million dollars. two firefighters and a police officer were injured. The Mary Philton, Namiasket, Rose Standish, Betty Alden, and Old Colony burned.

Tenant-Landlord Scrape Ends In Death In Alabama Farm Feud

Marvel Alabama merchant farmer Pi Luther Eddins aged 50 died in a hospital from a bullet wound ruled self inflicted in a quarrel with tenant Dewey Latifer over a crop share. Latifer surrendered after fleeing to Centerville and was jailed.
