Houston County Extension Agents Demonstrate Farm and 4 H Activities
The EDD ACE BUILDING hosted farm demonstrations on a county farm with 4-H club leaders Seborn E Kay 11 and Billy Max Johnson 12 serving as president and secretary treasurer. Miss Mary Johnson led the club and Ardilla 4 H reported the highest project completion rate at 95 percent with Mrs. A R Snell as teacher leader. In Memphis the Home Demonstration Club collected clothing for overseas relief led by Mrs. Otho Shelley and Miss Olange Casey. Other notes include Mrs. Barlow Johnson making children dresses and Mrs. G T Hollis reporting success with a gelatin dip for laundering lace and sheer blouses.

Alabama 4 H clubs will send 15 members to the National 4 H Club Congress in Chicago December 16. Fifteen leading members, seven girls and eight boys, were chosen for outstanding achievement in clothing, food preparation, records, dress, health, cattle, canning, and other farm tasks. They will be accompanied by club leaders T A Sims and Mrs Dell McCain from the extension service.
