Central Of Georgia Gets Super Engines

Eight new super locomotives, over 80 feet long and weighing about 180 tons, are being placed in service on the Central of Georgia system. Master mechanic G. W. Burke says they use coal for fuel and are equipped with automatic stokers. Central of Georgia has never operated engines like these before. The locomotives will power the Seminole Limited and other passenger trains.

W Marsh Dies On Dothan Visit

Feveral services for YT W Marsh, 66, of New Brockton, who died yesterday afternoon at the Dothan hospital, were held at the New Brockton Baptist Church with Rev Fleving officiating. Burial followed in New Brockton Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, two sons, his mother, four sisters, seven brothers, and a long list of in laws and grandparents.

John W. Phillips sixty six died at his Pansey home after a short illness. Funeral held at Gunn's Church with Rev L C Brannon of Ashford officiating.
