Sectional titles settle in half of conferences

New York AP reports sectional titles in half the major conferences were decided with debate over a mythical national championship intensifying. Record wheat and legume seed planted in Autauga County

Einstein forecasts universe expanding at 6000 miles per second

Berlin AP reports Professor Albert Einstein told German savants a farewell address that the universe expands about 6000 miles per second, challenging Euclidean concepts. He will sail December 10 for California to resume work at Mount Wilson observatory and says absolute motion cannot be measured except relative to another body. His figures imply a tenfold increase over prior estimates.

Ottawa tariff pact passes Commons by large majority

The British House of Commons approved the Ottawa tariff agreement by 416 to 68, committing Great Britain to a five year tariff policy with duties on foreign goods and preferences for the dominions, except the Irish Free State.
