Two Alabama Boys Held in Tennessee

Buford Wright twenty three and Barhard Swain twenty one were in the Lawrence county Tennessee jail on highway robbery and assault with attempt to murder charges. They allegedly held up a man named Hunt near Florence and fired on another man named Anderson near Lauderdale County before fleeing into Tennessee and being captured between St Joseph and Lawrenceburg. They will be returned to Alabama.

In Memphis on November 17 AP reports cottonseed futures closing firm with bids for November at 29.59 and December at 31.00 while January to June prices range from 21.00 to 31.50. Cottonseed meal futures close dull with bids from 27.50 to 39.00 and sales totals 1 000 tons. Avocados used as shortening by a Santa Ana farmer.
