Pfeiffer the anti- Communist Hungarian leader fled Budapest on November 5 and traveled incognito via Frankfurt to the United States with his wife Magda their five year old daughter Magda Laszlo Acsay and Mrs Acsay. He said democracy is dead in Hungary yet Hungarians remain democrats and vowed to oppose Eastern democracies from the West. He planned to meet Ferenc Nagy in Washington and to coordinate exile moves with fellow Hungarians to counter their political enemies.
