Dothan Party In Collision Leaves One Dead

Mrs Susie Farmer 53 of 303 E Lafayette St died from crash injuries near Hartford after a head on collision that injured seven others including her daughters Mayme Rosa 23 and Theo 18 and Mrs Needham D Bryan 28. The Leigh Childs car fled the scene. Funeral plans and hospital updates follow.

Florida Gators Through City Before Auburn Clash

The University of Florida football team passed through Dothan on the A C L railroad at 3 30 am en route to Montgomery to meet Auburn at Cramton Bowl this afternoon. After the game the squad would return to Gainesville and pass through Dothan again at 10 15 pm. The 29 man squad included Ends Ernie Schirmer Gene Butler and others with Coach Bachman Pierson and Joe Holsinger. Athletic officials accompanied the party along with band and staff.
