For the year since July 1 receipts 1 258 012 599 21, expenditures 2 854 326 271 00, excess 1 096 313 671 79, gold assets 8 005 535 844 90. Average motorist paid 47 31 in special motor taxes in 1933, up three dollars from 1932. Baltimore teacher arrested on 27 bad checks. She claimed studies at five universities.

Saturdays Stars: Eight Players Standout In Grid Rivals

Roger Leverton of Richmond ran 18 yards for a TD and paired with a late pass to George Lacy to defeat Georgetown. Mike Nicksick of Pittsburgh-Tallied twice against Notre Dame, Regis Monchan of Ohio State kicked six points in a rout of Western Reserve. Maurice Van Viet of Oregon sprinted 41 and 40 yards for TDs to beat Montana. Tony Sarausky of Fordham sprinted 61 yards for the winner against Tennessee after a setup pass. Julius Alfonse of Minnesota notched a 76 yard TD against Michigan. Dick Plasmaran of Vanderbilt blocked a kickoff and scored the ensuing TD then added a conversion to beat George Washington 7-6. Frank Sobrero of Santa Clara scored two of three TDs against California with runs of 13 and 47 yards. Ralph Semerad of Union tallied 24 points in a 30-21 win over Williams with three TDs.
