Missionary Society meets at Mrs Lena Saensbury home
The Woman's Missionary Society of the Methodist Church held its bi monthly meeting at Mrs Lena Saensbury's home on Monday afternoon with selections from the victrola and an inspirational devotional led by Mrs Lena Lansbury. The scripture was James from the New Testament and Mrs Bob Brown taught The Turn Towards Peace mission study. Delicous fruit punch was served to members and guests including Mrs W S Palmer Mrs W A Parish Mrs B R Kelly Mrs John Marshall Mrs C Eapy Mrs S D Hawkins Mrs Edgar Gullage Mrs R C Balkom Mrs Bob Brown Mrs S R Long Mrs A G Hudgens Mrs J W Daniel and Miss Aljeen Gullage. George Brannon of Washington DC attended funeral services for his mother Mrs C P Brannon at the Methodist Church on Wednesday. Howard Dean of Chattahoochee Frs was in town Wednesday. Ray Dowling of Picard was in town. Miss Tera Smith has returned from Dothan hospital after several weeks treatment. Miss Virginia Espy spent Sunday with friends in Montgomery. Mr and Mrs B H Stone returned home after a visit to Montgomery. Miss Myrtle Bass hosted the Young Peoples Missionary Society with about ten members present. Mrs O L Adams of Pensacola Fla is visiting relatives. G W Ray of Ozark was in town Tuesday. Mrs Paschal Riley of Tallahassee Fla is visiting relatives. S S Howell and Crawford Dasinger were in Dothan Wednesday. Mrs Mary Williams and Miss Mary Lou Williams are guests of relatives.
