Family Fight Ends in Death of Son-in-Law

A Birmingham weekend quarrel left W. M. Fincher dead and two others wounded at his father in law’s home. In Leeds, five bandits in a stolen car robbed 25 people at a country store, netting about 900 dollars, injuring two customers and wounding two more, with several suspects arrested or sought.

Clayton Girl Hurt In School Auto Crash

Frances Turner, 13, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C H Turner of Clayton, was brought to a Dothan hospital with a broken pelvis and other injuries after being crushed between two cars outside Clayton High School as Silas Reeves started his vehicle during end of term exercises. Antonette Borders 13, Miss Vida Reed, and Mrs. Dorman suffered minor injuries. Dr. Turner serves as pastor of Clayton's First Baptist Church.

Four Year Illness Fatal to Young Man

The funeral for W. W. Ellis, 26, who died at 5 30 p m Saturday at his Dothan home after a four year tuberculosis illness, was held Sunday at Ardilla Baptist church. Rev. White and Rev. Draughn officiated. burial in Ardilla church cemetery. He leaves wife, one son Glen, and father A L Ellis of Dothan route six. Dowling and Rhodes funeral directors supervised the services.

Two Weekend Fires Cause Minor Damage in To town

Firemen reported two weekend fires with limited damage. A blaze at the B C Hughes shop started from a hot engine when gasoline was poured on it. A second fire on North Street involved a Mies dwelling where sparks ignited the netting of a roof, burning only a few shingles.
