William Bacon Buck Oliver former Democratic representative of Alabama's Sixth District died in Turo Infirmary New Orleans at 7:45 A.M. He was 88 years old. Oliver had come to visit his niece Mrs. Mary Bacon Duncan and entered May 10 for a heart condition. He had shown improvement and was to leave tonight when he suffered a fatal attack. Body to be taken to Tuscaloosa by train tomorrow. Funeral set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa. Interment in family plot at Futaw, Alabama.

Unofficial returns from Jackson County show Tom Watson leading in the race for Florida Supreme Court justice. Watson received 5,215 votes, W. May Walker 3,179, and T. Frank Hobson 1,092, with Hobson winning statewide to force a June 4 runoff against Watson.
