Rucker Prepares Open House Climaxing Armed Forces Week
Camp Rucker hosts an open house this afternoon with 19.m gates. Visitors will see demonstrations by the 7th Infantry Division and the Sblet Logistical Command plus 35 units from the 301 set Logistical Command. Displays include engineer equipment chemical weapons and gas masks with a near battle demonstration featuring infantry attack and artillery. Radio support and Pensacola Air Base jet flyovers will enhance the program.

W O Gordon Clark Honored For Special Task Service
Warrant Officer Gordon C. Clark, S4 at Camp Rucker, received a certificate of achievement for faithful and efficient duty as master sergeant while serving as senior instructor for the Florida National Guard at St Augustine. Lt Gen John R Hodge issued the citation covering Dec 5, 1949 to Mar 11, 1957. The award notes Clark’s indefatigable application, foresight, administrative skill, and contribution to overcoming organizational problems. New Information and Education Center Opens at Post
The 01st Logistical Command opens its Information and Education Center with a briefing by Capt. Best and Capt. EB for all officers. The center, nicknamed a hot spot and cool place, features a fully dressed mannequin in Aggressor gear for Operation Southern Pine and contains weapon history language and tactical data. New Yorker Leads Signal Battalion Change At Post
Maj Daniel A Lennon Jr of New York City takes command of the 41st Signal Construction Battalion at Camp Rucker. He replaces Lt Col award W Chandler who moves to BY NC for a temporary assignment and airborne unit transfer. Lennon previously led the unit in 1950 and has earned the Bronze Star Belgian Fourragere and Meritorious Service Plaque. He is married to Jane Grantland of Tampa and they reside in Ozark, Missouri.

Military Center Opens New Exhibits and Courses
The I and E Center showcases weapons with a diorama of the Walker Bulldog tank and hosts an Armed Forces Institute library. Members may enroll in numerous courses while enjoying a rich dossier of newsage and periodicals. Center hours are 7:36–10 p.m. Mon–Sat and 1 p.m.–10 p.m. Sundays. Personnel listed include Capt.
