Salvation Army to use former school for soldiers
The Salvation Army will retrofit the former Howells School building owned by the city for soldiers and their wives. Major E Prien says repairs including windows plumbing and wiring and the installation of cots showers and other facilities will cost about 2000 dollars. The City Commission and Board of Education authorize the project with expenses borne by the Salvation Army and maintained for military lodging.
