J B Chambers, lifelong Henry County resident and landowner, died yesterday at a Americus hospital. He was 81, of Shorterville, member of Waterville Baptist Church. Funeral at Shorterville Church at 3 p.m. with Rev. Mark A. wer officiating. Interment in church cemetery, Abbeville in charge. Surviving widow four daughters and three sons.

Rattlesnake Killed By County Motorist
A five foot rattlesnake was killed yesterday afternoon by Ernest Brown of Dothan route three. He saw the snake across the road near the old CCC camp by Gordon, stopped, then finished it with a stick after it moved off the road. The rattler had twelve rattles and a button.
