Massie Case Defendants Freed After One Hour Custody
In Honolulu on May 5 the Massie murder trial defendants Lieut Thomas H Massie Mrs Granville Fortescue and E J Lord Albert Kenis were freed an hour after being sentenced to ten years hard labor. Governor Lawrence M Judd commuted the term to one hour and the four spent their confinement under sheriff supervision at Iolani Palace.
