Four Honor Trial Defendants Freed
The four defendants in the Four Honor trial were released from custody and escorted by the sheriff to the street outside the palace where Governor Judd's offices are located. Within an hour the governor announced a commutation, lifting the prior sentence and ending the long trial with the defendants displaying relieved smiles. Mrs Massie attended in a bright blue dress as Darrow reported being informed of the governor’s plan.
