Weiler HAM May 5 AP unofficial returns show Bankhead leading Anderton by almost 10 to 1 for the Democratic senatorial nomination. Absentee and rural boxes report varied margins, with Mar Maklm in Dallas County carrying for Anderton and Barbour County giving Bankhead a split. Other races show Hugh White leading in the party committee and Huddleston leading in the Ninth District.

Shot to Death 7 Found Slain in Hotel

A despondent man aged about 40 was found dead in a hotel with a bullet through the head. An inquest verdict returned death by own action. One Murder Case on Circuit Docket Opens Houston County Session

Burglar Forces Justice to Hand Over One Dollar
