Mrs T M Patterson sixty seven mother of Mrs Julian Hall duties editor of The Eagle died at a Montgomery hospital after a short illness. She was wife of the late T M Patterson a longtime solicitor of the Third Alabama Judicial Circuit. Born in Columbia she had lived with Mrs Fain Dothan since 2041. Survived by two brothers in Orlando and two sons in Montgomery and Orlando. Funeral at White's Chapel Montgomery with will in Greenwood cemetery.
Washington AP reports War Production Board Chairman Donald M Nelson said there is no prospect for resuming whisky production for at least three or four months. He testified before the Senate special liquor committee that there is no immediate holiday anticipated for industrial alcohol manufacture unless requirements are reduced. Ferguson asked if the next three to four months would see a halt, and Nelson affirmed only if production demands drop.
The 66th Panther Division marks one year of service with an Activation Day at Camp Rucker. Festivities include a 10 am dress parade led by Maj. Gen. H.
