Four Sent to Prison For Life After Bank Robbery

Four men from Louisville Ky pleaded guilty to a $196 000 City National bank robbery in Clinton Iowa. Clifford Edwards 22 Guy Edward Morris 19 Earl Jeffries 18 and Lester Stanley 28 were sentenced to life. They confessed and admitted the plan began in Louisville and involved kidnapping 33 people before the vault unlocked. The money was later recovered and one suspect was wounded.

Majority of A P I Graduates Approve Military Training

Auburn Alabama March 17 AP A majority of Alabama Polytechnic Institute graduates replying to U S department of the interior questions favor military training in higher learning. Questionnaires were sent to 54 institutions nationwide and 256 replied. Of those, 254 said ROTC training had definite educational value, 251 said it contributed to education, the same number agreed the time spent was justified, 225 favored two years of training, and 289 opposed eliminating the courses from colleges.
