Mrs J F Graham of Dothan mourns the death of her father Joan Arthur McDonald 66 of Homewood Alabama. He died Sunday night at a Birmingham hotel while visiting. A native of Iowa he is survived by his widow, a son Howard of Buffalo and Mrs Graham.

D B Wilkerson a 40 year old farmer of Hartford route two died in a local hospital after a brief illness. The funeral will be at Dundee Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Survived by widow three daughters two sons three sisters and two brothers with funeral arrangements by Fellows and Forrester.
John E. Ivey extension poultry expert from Auburn will lead a leadership meeting at the Houston county courthouse at 9 o'clock Friday morning. Mrs WG Pruett county home demonstration agent announced Tuesday. Iveys topic and demonstrations will center around Profitable Poultry Production and will be the last of a series of demonstrations scheduled. All club leaders 4 H club leaders.
In Ozark on March 10 Specter reports Dale county elections warming up for five local offices. Six candidates seek county superintendent of education including incumbent A B McLeod and several challengers. Fourth District commissioners see seven contenders led by incumbent J Ab Payne and former official J M Snell. Second District lists five entrants headed by R Holt Morris. Only two seek county board of education seats, Dr A D Matthews and Mrs L E Byrd.
Mrs Pruett invited local poultry raisers in the county to attend the upcoming meeting, signaling community involvement and shared concerns about flock management and farm practices.
