Milk Route Reaches Across Sea To Europe Aid
In Falls City Nebraska 33 members of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church sent a carload of purebred heifers to Central Europe to aid starving farmers and children. The project began in 1945 with pastor Reinhold Jensen and a local heifer committee. Brethren Service Committee and European churches will allocate cattle and calves to future beneficiaries, with recipients promising to pass calves to others.
