Funeral for Mrs. Sarah C. Kent Held at Kynesville
Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Baptist church in Kynesville for Mrs. Sarah C Kent a native of Jackson County who died Wednesday in Panama City. The Rev Rooks officiated and burial was in the church cemetery with Edge Funeral Home of Marianna in charge. Surviving are two daughters Susie Wootell of Maryville and Lucille Baxter of Marianna and three sons Albert of Columbus GA Alton of Alfred and J D Kent of Marianna. She was the widow of Noah Kent who died in 1840.

Mayhem Charged After Ear Biting Fight
Crawford Lasseter, a Houston County farmer, was jailed on charges of mayhem after a daytime altercation with Quinton Strickland that left him with a chewed ear. Strickland filed the complaint and Lasseter posted bond the next day. Deputy Adams also reported the arrest of a Negro man, J. H. Coleman, on driving while intoxicated charges on Enterprise Highway.
