Hartford Lex Goff Corbitt died yesterday after a brief illness He was born February 1812 in Hartford He was survived by wife Myrtice Wood Corbitt his parents Lex and Mrs Corbitt of Hartford and brother Dr Jock Corbitt of Bessemer Als He was a member and vice president of the Hartford Lions Club and worked in his father’s rug business Funeral services were held Saturday at 4 PM at his parents home Rev J F McLeod officiated Burial was in Hartford cemetery Holman Funeral Home in charge pallbearers included Grady Fugsbe Quinn Borland J T Holman Metz Hardwich George Huse James Thames Gerald Chaney and John David Lassiter Monarrely bearers were Oscar Lee Pittman and Hartford Lions Club members.
