Vet Kills French War Bride After Meeting Present Wife
Guy H. Wyman, World War I major and AE F veteran, shot and killed his former wife Noelle Wyman, a French war bride, after she allegedly pointed a gun at his current wife Marjorie Wyman at his home in Pensacola. The suspect, brother in law of Mrs. F M Streetman of Dothan, had divorced the first wife recently with alimony, and remarried the present wife soon after. The murdered woman had been in Dothan six months earlier, but was not the same person as the current wife.

Lightning ignites gasoline tank injuring two Bakers
Fred Baker and his brother Sam Baker of Hammond Avenue were burned when lightning struck an iron pipe at Gulf Refining on Range Street igniting a small gasoline tank. Fred suffered severe arm and leg burns and a sprained ankle after leaping to extinguish flames. Sam burned a finger. Both were in the plant office and rushed outside with a fire extinguisher. Firemen put out the blaze. The more seriously injured, from Enterprise, was visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F M Baker.
