Six Die As Ambulance Collides With Car In New Jersey
In Collingswood New Jersey an ambulance rushing to aid a three year old girl collided at a street intersection with a car. Six persons died including the ambulance driver Policeman John Knorr and several bystanders. The three year old child died hours later in Camden Hospital.

Police Chief J L Domingus told city councilmen that four inmates escaped from the stockade at the light and water power plant on S Appletree street during the night. Three prisoners remained at large, while one returned and asked for reentry to the chain gang.
