Prominent Attorney Dies at Tallahassee

George W. Walker, 72, longtime state’s attorney for the second judicial circuit, died at his Tallahassee home after more than a month of illness. A Leon County native and nephew of former Gov. David S. Walker, he served 1891-1911 and 1914 until his death, was a candidate for circuit judge next Tuesday, and was active in civic life as a Mason and Episcopalian. He is survived by his widow and son, George Keith Walker.
