Bare Oyster Beds May Yield in 1931
Washington reports the Mobile Bay oyster beds may not yield until 1931 after record floods. Dr. P. S. Galtsoff and Dr. R. H. Luce say less than six percent of oysters remain on 2,500 acres. Restocking requires 250,000 barrels of shells and oysters. an emergency $50,000 appropriation awaits Congress.
