Bandits Hold Up Mail Messenger in Conshohocken

Five masked men robbed a Reading Company mail messenger at the Conshohocken station,taking two sacks worth about 17000 dollars. Violence Threatened In Dairy Controversy Declared

In DeKalb and Fulton counties Georgia on June 1 authorities investigated dynamite threats and milk sabotage amid a dispute over the milk code. Trial Of Alleged Vote Buyers Put Off

The trial of Jim Boatner and M T Ingle for buying or attempting to buy an absentee ballot for 1.50 from David Blakey Jr was postponed to June 8 in Montgomery Alabama by Judge Winter Thorington at the defendants request who said they could not obtain counsel. Assistant Solicitor Robert Arrington objected but the delay was allowed. The pair were arrested Wednesday by deputies near the county jail as they bought Blakey s absentee ballot.

Correction increases cotton land payments in Houston County

Correction of several hundred checks for the initial payment on cotton lands rented in Houston County in the 1934 reduction program will release about 15000 dollars more here, Farm agent C. M. Ling announced today. Nearly 90000 dollars was released last week on the first checks. Merchants report cotton money quickly goes to debts from this year's crop. The second check is anticipated late July or early August and Ling predicts it will be spent on nonessential farming items. Farmers using first checks on 1934 crop debts should be better off at harvest time than in years past.

Thieves Posing as Officers Take $1700 in Calico Rock

In Calico Rock Arkansas two men pretending to be officers entered the home of Mrs Sylvia Rutledge four miles north of town and robbed her of 1700 dollars. A pistol was used to threaten Mrs Rutledge and her two nephews as the other man searched the house.
