Fragmentary notes on light, fate, and hometown visits
Disjointed OCR text mentions prayer, fate, and a dramatic line about virtue. It notes Simpson’s Birmingham visit after a week with his mother, Seaman Joseph Tooms Sr. completing training at Great Lakes and visiting parents, and mentions Seaman Grooms joining the Navy last May. Also references Mrs J L Ellis, Mrs Van Ritch, Barbara Ritch renewing a game, and a Gulf beach Pill Box with several locals and retirees visiting New Orleans after weekend stays.
