A fragmentary account depicts tensions between French officials and soldiers over Morocco policy. It notes campaigns against Abd el Krim’s tribes, the Atlas and desert theater, and parliamentary opposition in Paris to punitive expeditions. The piece references Resident General Steeg, Marshal Lyautey, and General Preußenberg amid debates on use of force and civilian control.
