Paving Way Added Boost Clothing Cost
Washington AP reports government plans to roll back prices faced by apparel makers. The OPA granted concessions to factories, allowing about a two percent decrease in retail prices for the rest of the year, based on prices in 1939 rather than wartime restrictions. This move aims to trim average clothing costs, though not as much as initially planned.
