Montgomery AP report notes a month rise in arrests for lack of driver licenses amid new law allowing 15 year olds to drive and returning servicemen. NEW YORK AP Six year old Ptap Munje was backed by Detective Waiter Shea toed the scene early today. Mrs Monje, separated from her husband, alleged she killed her son. Police took her to Brooklyn station for questioning but no charge was filed. The detective said Mrs Monje woke her mother and said, Well, I did it. The other children are Paul, 16, and Roland, 10.

In a northside Birmingham residence a shotgun discharged injuring two boys and three others, including two struck by pellets. Anite Gentry, 7, and Sherrill Smith, 7, suffered chest and abdomen wounds and were listed as in serious condition. A 9 year old, Betty Uptain, and 4 year old Michael Schrader, plus 9 year old John Lee Uptain, sustained minor injuries.
