14 Year Old Slays Nurse in New Jersey Mountain Tragedy

In Morris County a 14 year old, Harry Woolsey Jr., confessed to stabbing and killing a nurse on Green Pond Mountain while she admired the view. He described using a hunting knife and expressed remorse and a desire to flee with money. He is in custody as authorities pursue further details.

Aviator Frank Goldsborough in Wreck Found Alive

Bennington Vermont July 15 AP Frank Goldsborough 18 year old aviator was found alive in the wreckage of his airplane on Woodford mountain after a 18 hour trek through fog and wilderness. He had a fractured skull and was in critical condition at Putnam Memorial Hospital. His passenger Donald Mockler was only slightly hurt. Goldsborough held the Junior transcontinental flying record and was son of Bryce Goldsborough who died attempting the Atlantic crossing in 1927.

Date for Payment of Road Taxes Extended by Board of Revenue

Houston county Board of Revenue unanimously extended road tax payment by sixty days to April 1. The previous February 1 deadline was extended previously in February. Commissioners Clark Williams and Holland were appointed to investigate a damage claim by Mr. Eubanks for injuries and buggy damage after an embankment incident near a county road bridge.

Absentee Ballots Issued for Alabama Primary

Five masked bandits armed with a machine gun robbed the Wilmar Minnesota bank of an estimated thirty five to forty thousand dollars.
