The remains of E. S. Avant who died in Midland City Friday morning were laid to rest in Pinckard Cemetery Saturday morning with Masons in charge. Dothan Undertaking Company handled arrangements. He was 70, survived by his widow three sons Tom Earl Avant of Birmingham and Lander Avant of Midland City and three daughters Mrs Earr of Midland City Mrs F Dunlap of Miami and Miss Davie Avant of Midland City.
